Was I a little harsh?

You may have thought my email on Wednesday was a little harsh (Click here to read Wednesdays email)

and anyone that thought it was really harsh probably unsubscribed so won’t even see this email

ah well!

The reason I may come across like that is that we constantly get people who are absolutely bricking it coming in the door but force themselves to do so and get on with it.

and if you have been a member with us for any amount of time at all you know that we will be friendly and try to help you as best we can,

but you are all grown ups so people must meet us half way!

That’s the point I am usually trying to make,

and if you don’t believe me then it’s receiving emails like this that has made me that way

Hi Darragh,

I signed up there for the monthly direct debit to continue.

I was so nervous going in the first day and first week. Kept thinking everyone be looking at me and thinking I so stupid as very unfit and overweight. I felt physically sick, but 6 weeks later im still going and plan to continue. The trainers make u feel relaxed and don’t shout or pressurise you. In fact they encourage you so much and its good to hear at times your name been mentioned for well done. First week I physically could not sit down and now I can but there still hard. But that’s also because im doing that bit xtra each time. I am enjoying them and feel great at end of session. I go 3 times a week and have done from start. I never did anything like this before, never thought I would be able so im surprising my kids and importantly myself, The classes are so different and you never know what to expect which is great…. And today a lady said to me that she could see a big difference in me and it def was working for me in terms of weight and fitness….

Yep, that’s why I may come across as a little harsh

As you can have all the information and “Motivation” in the world but at some point you have to bite the bullet and do it

no matter how daunting it may seem!

Just like this lady who did our 6 Week program just before Xmas there…

This is the EXACT thing 99% of people are telling themselves and exactly why they don’t enter a gym or any sort of training environment and I totally understand that it’s not easy

Most people have never done any decent type of training as this form of training only really came round in the past 10 years and in some towns/ areas is brand new!

Social Media doesn’t help the situation either by constantly having GI Joe type statuses talking about working out until you get sick in a bucket and other such nonsense. (Click here to read about the Death of Joy due to Social Media)

But when you get into the swing of it you will notice great benefits in a variety of ways.

As you may know Stephen is getting married today in Enniskillen so most of us will be at that….

so keep an eye out for some photos on Social Media!

Don’t forget that both our 6 Week program (For new members or people who haven’t been in for over a year) and our Platinum Program (For people that want to take their results up a few notches andchallenge themselves) start this coming Monday the 8th of January

At this stage we are down to our last couple of spots in all programs, it is January after all, so if you want in just shoot me a message here and I will get back to you over the weekend.


As I also said on Wednesday be sure to try and hit the 10:30 and 4:00 classes whenever possible to balance out our numbers.

And if you are doing the 6 Week program try to arrive 5 to 15 minutes early to just get sorted out, especially in Dundalk as everything will be a bit mental to get everyone sorted out!
