If there’s one thing people can really do when they set their mind to it is
Coming up with an excuse!
Rather than just coming out and saying why people don’t want to do something they can go round in circles in an ongoing search for a great excuse. (Click here to find out Are You Making These Excuses?)
But when people actually want to do something then it’s a different ball game altogether.
And a good 60%- 70% of our membership base is people that have always hated the thought’s of exercise and going to a gym but would love to be fitter and healthier
That’s why we put such an emphasis on enjoyment and having a comfortable atmosphere.
So people will actually look forward to coming into our sessions rather than dreading it, like this member:
Thanks for the email and apologies for the delay in replying – I was away for the weekend picking up my wedding dress! Now….if fitting into that isn’t motivation to ‘think big and kick ass’ at class, then i don’t know what is lol!
I am absoutely loving the classes and can’t believe how quick those 6 weeks have flown in! The set up is perfect, the trainers are brilliant and the motivation they provide is priceless!
I used to dread going to the gym, standing in the changing room hoping that i’d only packed one trainer or no socks so that I could chicken out and go home! Now i’m bouncing out the door to head to Dutchy’s!
I’ll remember to get my measurements taken at the end of the week and if I’ve lost weight or inches great…..and even if i haven’t, it’s ok because i’m feeling so much better in myself regardless!
My wedding is is December so i’m looking forward to seeing more changes between now and then!
That message is not from Lorraine who also has a wedding dress to get into in December and shall be training like a woman possessed until then!
Luckily this lady has given herself lots of time before the big day and not left it until the last minute to lose it all like so many others do. (Click here for some Doable Long Term Advice)
And the fact that she isn’t expecting miracles will also stand to her as she will keep chipping at the block and the results will take care of themselves in the long run.
