One of the daily emails that I read myself had in it that
64.7 MILLION prescriptions were written for anti-depressants..
I found that stat staggering,
Yet doesn’t surprise you either!
It’s hard to know where to look for answer’s on that and I’m sure it comes from a variety of factors such as people now being more stressed than ever and also doctors probably handing them out like sweeties. (Click here to find out why STRESS is killing your goals)
Other factors probably include that it’s much easier to get these tablets than 20 to 40 years ago I assume and now everyone can diagnose themselves with Dr. Google whereas 20- 40 years ago they just had to suck it up and get on with it.
Thing’s can definitely get tough and it’s hard to balance everything.
It can actually change your life, cheesy and all as that sounds.
The problems arise when we try to complicate the gym as well, as if we don’t have enough complications in our life.
Some people think that I do to many emails and put to much on Social Media but I know that I don’t put half enough up, especially on Social Media
Of course it’s not as simple as just doing a workout and all will be right with the world again.
But we do know, and there is lots of science to back it up, that we feel better after a workout. (Click here to find out How to Feel Better than Ever….)
We do know it reduces stress, increases energy levels, helps us sleep better and basically counteract all these things that add to our stress levels.
Every week I talk to people on the phone who still think the gym is a torture chamber where they will be pointed and laughed at and made get sick into a bucket before they leave
Of course there is hard work involved but isn’t anything worth while.
And when your workouts are structured and productive then it makes it so much easier to enjoy it.
Like this new member has noticed:
I’m just starting my 4th week in the classes and surprisingly I’m enjoying it. I have joined the gym on many different occasions and gave up as I stopped looking forward to it. It was becoming a chore to me.
Dutchys has changed that for me as i now look forward to going to the classes and I feel great after them even though I’m not exactly fit yet but I know I will get there.
I’m mostly getting 4 classes a week in so you will probably notice I keep signing the wrong book.
All the staff are unique in their own way and each class is so different and that’s what I love about it.
Not sure what my options are when the 6 weeks are finished but maybe nearer the time you can let me know whats available next.
This morning I am off to Monaghan swimming Pool for swimming lessons.
I did them a few years ago and it got me from flopping about like an idiot shitting myself to actually being able to move okish
Have got out of the habit of it but with no soccer team this winter and a few muscular injuries coming back I want to be able to swim the length of the pool and back without stopping
Mightn’t sound like much to some but would be great achievement for little ole me,
it also help’s to keep my training fun and challenging rather than boring and monotonous.
